The EDCA Karate Scholarship Programme
We’re incredibly proud to announce the launch of the Eumundi & District Community Association (EDCA) Karate Scholarship Programme.
With the generous support of EDCA, four young people aged 5–24 will receive scholarships to train in karate - removing financial barriers and creating opportunities for growth, confidence and connection.
Karate is more than just physical activity. It builds resilience, focus, respect and a strong sense of belonging.
This programme is about giving local young people the chance to step into the dojo, be supported, and realise their potential.
A huge thank you to EDCA for backing our community and investing in the next generation.

Example applications
“Karate has become something my child looks forward to each week. It has helped build their confidence and focus, especially at school. Due to current financial pressures, it has been difficult for us to continue consistently. My child is committed to training and enjoys being part of the class. This scholarship would allow them to keep developing in a positive and structured environment.”
“I would like to be considered as karate has helped me feel more confident and comfortable around others. I used to be quite shy, but training has made it easier to participate and try new things. I am committed to attending regularly and continuing to improve. This opportunity would support my wellbeing and help me stay connected to a positive community.”
