Karate Community offers a healthy blend of fitness, fun and empowerment for the whole community. Under professional and caring instruction in a disciplined and supervised environment, Shihan Peter Zarb's classes are taught with an emphasis on self-development and self-defence rather than competition.

Our Aim is to promote awareness throughout our local community of the holistic health benefits gained from training in our combat/healing art. Perfect for women and men of all ages and levels of fitness.

We use traditional training methods such as Hojo Undo (supplementary training exercises), Kihon (fundamentals), Kata (forms) and Kumite (function).

Classes include;

  • meditative breathing exercises designed to calm the mind, decrease stress, increase respiratory function and awareness, bring the student into the “present” and cultivate positive energy.

  • combat art orientated aerobic drills designed to increase flexibility, condition muscular strength and endurance, correct postural deficiencies and improve our cardiovascular system.

  • paired activities that promote the functionality of karate jutsu.
