Mountain Training 2023 Fundraiser - it is going to be HILL-arious!
This is your PEAK karate experience. Wearing your karate uniforms, we will hike/jog up to the lookout where sensei Peter will lead participants through a series of White Crane boxing (hakutsuru) drills and forms. After taking your training to new HEIGHTS, we will stroll back down the mountain for a lunch social.
Fun fact: our last one of these events in 2021 had around 30 locals in attendance!
What are we fundraising?
This November, Peter has been invited to attend a special Gasshuku (a weekend long training intensive) in Victoria, where not only will he present a seminar on core Goju Ryu principles, but has also been selected to present for his 6th DAN Renshi (polished expert) black belt level. This is in recognition of his outstanding and continued contributions to Goju Ryu Karate-do. After 23 years of weekend camps, this will be the very last one at Kyoshi James' Wu-Lin Retreat in the beautiful countryside of Lancefield. Peter and his family are excited to attend this momentous occasion.
Come along, because good karate students N-EVEREST!!!
Session fee $30 GST inclusive. Cash on the day.
Participation cost includes lunch and refreshments.
Family and friends in attendance can join us for lunch - $5 per head (please register for catering).
Location
Mt Tinbeerwah has been chosen for this activity because of its ease of ascent for all age groups and levels of fitness, its centralised location to students over the Noosa and Sunny Coast Hinterlands, its beautiful scenery and convenient amenities. We keep everything as local as we can - this is our community and we're proud to be a part of it.
Mt Tinbeerwah has recently undergone a series of upgrades to enhance this great walking space.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS…
This event is exclusive to current members only.
This event is open to all students.
Those under 12 will need a parent or guardian present for the whole activity. More eyes and hands = more safety.
In the event of severe weather or storms, the event may be cancelled. I mean, training on a mountain while lightning is cracking around us sounds epic, but probably isn't wise.
RSVP by Thursday 28th September (for catering)
If minimum numbers are not met, the event may be postponed/cancelled.
