Junior Karate...

Our sensei has a passion for youth development and the combat arts. Junior Karate classes are taught in a more disciplined environment, and emphasise self-development and self-defence rather than competition. This is a 45 minute program and will become a bridge class into the Junior+ class. It is about enhancing social engagement, promoting positive relationships and developing good mental and physical health. This program is suited to 8 to 10 year olds.

Classes include

  • meditative breathing exercises (designed to calm the mind, increase respiratory function and awareness, and cultivate positive energy),

  • combat art orientated aerobic drills (designed to increase flexibility, condition muscular strength and endurance, correct postural deficiencies and improve our cardiovascular system),

  • loads of paired/group activities (that promote trust, respect and positive social behavior)

  • and FUN GAMES!
